Overview of Policies

The aim of this site is to educate.

We provide informed explanations and well researched articles on three of Yoga’s ‘sister subjects’: Jyotish, Ayurveda and Vastu.

We believe that this ancient wisdom is worthy of serious investigation and is particularly appropriate for today’s stress-filled world.

Visitors should note that all of these subjects are based on the ‘Vedic Model of Reality’, where all matter, energy, information and living beings are part of an integrated and connected whole. By presenting this information we are not trying to change people’s religious or cultural belief systems, merely summarising key concepts originating from the ancient Vedic tradition that stretches back more than 5000 years. If you are uncomfortable with this paradigm we advise you to view it from an academic perspective. It is, after all, just a model (in the scientific sense) and just one way of viewing creation.

Health: Ayurveda Related

The information give in this section is based on the Traditional Ayurvedic system of medicine. None of the information on this site is intended to be used for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment or cure of any disease. If you have any health issues whatsoever you are advised to seek a diagnosis from a Doctor trained in Western medicine. None of the information on this site claims to increase your longevity either.

Karmic Astrology: Jyotish Related

Central to the whole of the section on Jyotish Astrology are the concepts of karma and reincarnation. If you do not believe in either of these, then none of this section will make sense to you.

Living Spaces: Vastu Related

The whole of the section on Vastu involves the concept that the orientation, layout and location of a building can affect the occupants’ health and happiness. Vastu gives us certain principles which we can apply to try and improve our environment – however, as there are many factors involved there is no guarantee of its effectiveness.
